Gartner’s report predicts that by the top of 2020, the public cloud market will have reached $ 411 billion by 2020 from $ 260 billion in 2017. , cloud service companies are now focused on expanding their services, increasing costs and taking more position in the public cloud market.

Cloud computing has come an extended way since its inception. Now, it’s not an issue of whether organizations should choose to use cloud computing or not, the question now is which platform should they choose. The cloud computing market is currently dominated by many cloud service providers, but AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) proudly hold the top three positions.

As mentioned, Amazon is dominating and since the 2020 report from Synergy Research, Amazon’s growth has been described as a successful retaining momentum. In the meantime, it would be safe to say that Microsoft has a strong portfolio in SaaS, while GCP in AI is set for strong growth in the future.

Closing the expansion trend, except Microsoft Azure and GCP shortly after AWS, their market shares haven’t shown growth within the south. The graph above is data collected in 2019 where GCP accumulated 83% growth, while Azure registered 75% growth. AWS has maintained its momentum at a rate of the growth rate of 41%.

Microsoft Azure — Azure is a Microsoft cloud-based platform that gives a good range of cloud services including analytics, storage, computer and social media. It has 3 models of cloud services such as SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS and is an open and flexible business level platform that is fast and easy to use. Azure primarily has 11 services offered to its customers namely, Hybrid integration, data storage, compute, analytics, CDN, IoT, Management and security, etc. It helps businesses improve their livelihoods and allow for a more sustainable ecosystem and pipeline connections.

Google Cloud — GCP is one of the youngest players in the cloud but in a short time, it has managed to establish a good customer base. Its BigQuery analytics engine, ML tools, and a new way for big business have established it as a strategic cloud player. It began its journey in 2011 with the aim of strengthening its product base. But now they have also started business services so that any organization that shares the same infrastructure as Google search can use it.
